Why do people use autistic as a buzzword? Like if you don’t have a diagnosis I don’t want to hear a tism comment come out of your mouth.
Being neurodivergent is something you can not change. You are either born with it or become it due to physical or emotional trauma. Like bruh.
I think people get confused about how autism is described to be on a “spectrum”. But to be on that spectrum you are either neurodivergent or not on it.

In the queer community, I’ve experienced a lot of people who use autism, tism’, the tism’ (shivers), as a word to describe their unique tendencies and not.. actual autism. I think the confusion starts with the word spectrum. Gender and sexuality (in my opinion) are both a spectrum where there is no start and no end.
AUTISM: You Are or You Aren’t
I think everyone can have neurodivergent tendencies but that doesn’t make you entirely neurodivergent. Being neurodivergent is a spectrum if you genuinely fall on it. Tbh get a diagnosis and get on Medicare I don’t GAF just stop pretending to have a disability/ mental illness.
I guess this makes me so Instagram comment rant angry because I just want to be seen! I feel stupid saying it but being neurodivergent/ mentally ill is genuinely pain and suffering. It’s not just verbal stim compilations. Don’t get me started about it because if you have verbal stims other than just humming you have echolalia which I doubt I’m sorry just stop.

I’m sorry I’m mean and bitter.
