Today I saw Built to Spill and Kicking Giant.

Amazing show. One of the best ever ever ever.

I’ve seen Built to Spill twice but never Kicking Giant. The drummer is so cool. She used her floor tom as her bass drum and played standing up. I love a drummer who sings and plays as well and they killllllled it all. The guitarist Tae Won Yu is a photographer. He projected his photos on the screen behind them while they played.

Wow. Oh my. I am going to start taking more pictures of all of you ugly pretty beautiful people because it was breathtaking. It was a total time capsule of 90s NYC/ Olympia. He has an instagram you should totally check out because he has total complete raw artist brain in every way and seems like the nicest dude ever. (@summer_guitars)

Last summer, I carried around my little digital with me everywhere, until it quite literally became dilapidated and failed on me. Tae Won Yu inspired me to upload these today. Maybe I’ll do something more with them one day or maybe they’ll sit here in internet archival rot.

Either way I have a new digital from thrift ($7.99) that I have barely touched since I got it.

IT IS TIME.
